The Murphys are natives of the beautiful island of Jamaica.
Pastor Darren Murphy has served the Seventh-day Adventist Church as a
Minister of the Gospel for the past ten years. He is an Author and his
multifaceted and diverse approach to ministry, has led him to be loved and
appreciated by both young and old. Throughout the duration of his ministry
in Jamaica, he has provided leadership to twenty-four churches, from varied
social backgrounds. Pastor Murphy is intentional about learning daily from
the word of God and strives to dissect and share God’s Word with intellectual
brilliance. His strength in establishing strategic frameworks to improve the
mission of the church, is a gift credited to him by the Lord. Pastor Murphy
always finds a way to succeed with building strong and positive relationships
with the members whom God has assigned Him to.
He’s married to Adiese, Author & Media and Communications Consultant,
whose love for the Lord is manifested in her versatility and ability to inspire
others through her written and spoken words. Adiese brings strategic
brilliance to the table, guiding organizations through the intricacies of
effective messaging. As a Christian playwright, she often dives into age-old
and contemporary biblical issues with eloquence, unearthing insightful
perspectives that resonate with diverse post-modern audiences.
God’s established calling on this ministerial couple’s lives, has led them to
offer a targeted ministry-focus to the youth of the Ambassador Seventh-day
Adventist Church through AYIA (Ambassador Youth in Action); ministering
wholesomely to their needs and guiding them to live a fulfilling life in Christ,
Jesus.
The reach of their 9-year long radio ministry, through the program Sunset
Serenade, has also played a pivotal role in impacting thousands world-wide
for Christ.
Above all else, Darren and Adiese are down to earth, easy- going young
people, with hearts of love for people, mission and sports.
They are honored to be the parents of Zachary Jattir-Alexander and
Dominique Shae- Alexia, their angels of joy for a lifetime.
